Who is Zak

I am a full stack web developer based in Italy.

Born in Yugoslavia, during the Balkan war, my family moved to Italy (Brescia) in 1996.

I speak Italian, Serbian and English.

I enjoy coding in PHP, using Laravel (thanks Taylor Otwell for this great framework, and thanks Jeffrey Way for making it so easy for me to embrace it).

I am also a huge fan of VueJS and my favourite frontend Vue framework is Quasar Framework.

I really like Caleb Porzio's Livewire & Alpine.js, and I like Tailwind CSS, too.

Using this stack I am able to create full-blown WebApps, PWAs and Hybrid CapacitorJS applications.

My recent projects include:

  • a CRM for moving companies with marketing automation and some fancy tricks for customer retention and conversion (I love sales and marketing, too)
  • an iOS/Android App for Beauty Salon management [ in development / pre-alpha as of Sept. 2020 ]
  • a CRM for real estate agencies
  • an app for clothe labels scanning and OCR parsing, for simple inventory management
  • an app for food delivery (a sort of JustEat "clone") but focused on local restaurants

And more ...

Here's my tech stack, as of Sept. 2020:

  • iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2020) • 8GB Ram (too lazy to expand) • 512GB SSD • 1TB External
  • MacBook Pro 13.3 Retina - Late 2013
  • Assembled PC • Linux (Mint now, was Slackware) • 4GB Ram • 512GB SSD
  • Coffee
  • Pistacchios (I could kill for toasted pistacchios so better watch out!) 😂
